Jay Slater, a 19-year-old apprentice bricklayer from Lancashire, remains missing after eleven days, despite new information about his movements. Jay was staying at the three-star Paloma Beach complex in Los Cristianos, Tenerife, with friends Brad Hargreaves and Lucy Mae Law. On Sunday, June 20, he attended the final night of the NRG music festival at Papagayo beach club in Playa De Las Americas.
Images and videos from the event show Jay enjoying the dancefloor, sometimes wearing a grey t-shirt with green detailing and other times shirtless. He was also seen carrying a black bag with thick straps.
When the festival ended, Jay’s friends returned to their accommodation, but Jay decided to head to the remote hillside tourist spot of Masca, an hour’s drive away, with two men. The landlady of the property they were renting described the men, believed to be from Luton, as significantly older than Jay, with one in his 40s and the other slightly younger. A friend of Jay mentioned that one of the men was known by the nickname “Johnny Vegas.”
New clues suggest that Jay left the mystery house in the wrong direction, further complicating the search. Authorities continue to investigate and search for Jay, focusing on the remote areas around Masca.
