In a horrific incident in Multan, Sania Zehra, a 20-year-old woman, was allegedly raped, tortured, and killed by her husband, Ali Raza. The tragic details were shared on an Instagram page under the handle @justiceforsaniazehra, highlighting that Sania was a victim of domestic violence.
According to the post, Raza initially strangled Sania and then hanged her to make it look like a suicide. He remains unarrested. Sania, a mother of two and expecting her third child, had reportedly refused to beg her father for money and property, which led to the brutal act.
Sania’s father, upon receiving news of her death two days later, found broken glasses and mirrors in the room, asserting that his daughter had been murdered. He emphasized that a person committing suicide does not break things and that Sania had been hanging for over fourteen hours.
Further details reveal that Raza had broken Sania’s teeth and sliced her tongue before killing her. Sania owned the home they lived in, and Raza had been pressuring her to sell it and give him the money. Additionally, Raza had faked his ID card to show he was single, concealing his first marriage and two daughters.
Sania’s father has called on Multan authorities to arrest the murderer by June 13th, threatening to create havoc if justice is not served.
This case has drawn widespread attention and outrage, with calls for swift justice and greater protection for victims of domestic violence. The community and activists are rallying behind Sania’s family, demanding immediate action against Ali Raza.
