The Pakistan Army has announced the successful completion of its clearance operation following the attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan, confirming that all 33 militants involved have been eliminated.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif stated that no passengers were killed during the military operation. However, he confirmed that the militants had killed 21 people before security forces intervened. The operation was conducted with extreme caution to prevent further civilian casualties.
Alleged footage has surfaced showing Pakistan’s security forces carrying out the Jaffar Express rescue operation.

According to ISPR, four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel lost their lives when militants attacked them near picket positions. No further casualties among security forces were reported.
The operation involved Special Services Group (SSG) commandos, FC personnel, and the Pakistan Air Force. The military confirmed that suicide bombers among the attackers were neutralised first to minimise the risk to hostages.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif emphasised that while the main clearance operation has concluded, security personnel are continuing a thorough sweep of the area. Some passengers who had fled in different directions during the attack are being accounted for and escorted to safety.
The Pakistan Army reiterated that militants had used innocent passengers as human shields during the attack. The military has pledged to continue counterterrorism operations in the region to prevent further incidents of this nature.
